Our stunning antiqued, pale UV oiled board is available in this dynamic large size parquet or 'Herringbone' format of 600mm x 125mm x 20mm. Hampton Oak Colour no. 7 Herringbone goes through a sympathetic aging process which produces a natural, antiqued look oak floor with inherent character and interest. The pale or 'invisible' finishing oil enhances but doesn't change the oak's natural colourisation and results in a lustrous, light floor. Due to the unique size of our parquet, this rustic looking oak floor can easily hold its own in large open plan rooms but is pale enough to also work in the smallest, snug cottage where darker floors may feel oppressive. Add this wonderful engineered oak herringbone to your wish list for your interior project to lighten up your abode whilst simultaneously adding quality, character and style.

PRICES ARE PER PACK EXCLUDING DELIVERY. A minimum order quantity of 24sqm (40 boxes) applies on this pre-order product. Pack size is listed under the specification tab along with further information on this rustic grade oak floor.

Also available in stunning wide planks 2.2m x 22cm x 2cm. See related products below.

Grade RUSTIC GRADE: Rustic grade wood has the largest range of colour variation, sap content and allows almost a limitless size and number of knots. There will be checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used and the colour is traditionally dark, carefully selected to compliment the oak rather than to match it or ‘disappear’. Rustic grade oak produces a stunning, traditional vintage looking floor.
Installation Points Engineered Herringbone Oak Flooring cannot be floated over an underlay. The planks must be solidly attached to the sub-floor using an appropriate adhesive.
Glue-Down We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply.
Blending Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.
Cleaning The Bona Premium Spray Mop for Oiled Wood Floor is the easiest and most effective way of cleaning oiled wood floors in the home. Simply spray and wipe the floor clean. It cleans and nourishes your oiled wood floor while providing extra protection.
