Classic Italian marble reproduced here in a non-staining, non-porous, highly durable Porcelain tile!
Italian marble is famous throughout the world and the Calacatta marbles are perhaps the pinnacle. Our Marmi Porcelain range is based on the two most desired Calacatta marbles: the eponymous Calacatta Marble itself and the rarer Calacatta Gold Marble. With a base colour of bone & ivory, both our Marmi Bianco & Marmi Gold tile are eminently easy to accessorize and input into your design scheme. Choose Marmi Bianco for a strike of cool blue-grey or go for gold with Marmi Gold to inject an accent of bronzed gold into your scheme. You won't be surprised to hear that both colours are extremely popular in bathrooms and indeed you can't go wrong with either choice in this setting. However, both tiles are available in a variety of tile sizes enabling you to use in other rooms too. Plump for the majestic size of 120cm x 60cm in either colour to create a wonderfully light living space floor. Go for the timeless entrance hall marble floor by utilising the classic 60cm x 60cm tile in Marmi Bianco. Create warmth by pairing the golden tones of Marmi Gold 60cm x 30cm on the floor with warm tan leather chairs to form a wonderfully snug snug! Push the envelope with the versatile elongated brick size of 7.5cm x 30cm - this can be used to create dynamic feature walls, especially in bathrooms or wet-rooms, by tiling in classical vertical or horizontal herringbone, basketweave or the more contemporary patterns of horizontal or vertical stack. Finally we also offer a stunning hexagon shaped mosaic in both colours that can really add that final flourish, especially in a bathroom or wet-room setting.
PLEASE NOTE: Mosaics are sold PER SHEET so the price above (£23.39inc VAT) is for one 30cm x 30cm sheet. Just enter the total number of mosaic sheets you require into the white box labelled SQM (next to the 'Prices include VAT' box) to add correctly to your shopping cart.
PRICES EXCLUDE DELIVERY and the price per sqm is also shown allowing easy comparison. We operate a minimum order quantity of five boxes on this product. |Mosaic||Unlike tiles Mosaics are sold per sheet. Marmi Hexagon Porcelain Mosaic is supplied on a mesh-backed sheet measuring approximately 30cm x 30cm which can be cut using a stanley knife. Each sheet is made up of 30number individual hexagons, 6rows high by 5rows wide. This is rectified porcelain suitable for use on walls and floors. Due to mosaic production methods, slight shade and dimensional variation is to be expected within the mosaic sheet.|
|Grade||Wall & Floor R10 - Residential interior walls & floors | Residential exterior when installed onto a solid concrete/screed base | Commercial interior walls & floors|
|Installation Points||Porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout. For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used.|
|Blending||Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.|
|Mosaic Installation||Mosaics can be a challenge to install. The mesh backing makes it hard to get even pressure when pressing into adhesive so you end up with an uneven surface and, when used against normal tiles, lipping can occur for this reason too. We recommend the use of Mosaic Mesh Tile Backer Sheets which makes mosaic installation MUCH easier. These are available from most DIY sheds.|
