Priory Tumbled Parquet is a fabulously tumbled and aged engineered oak floor holding a sublime combination of pale golden, light and unfinished oak tones. This neutral though moderately varied colour palette creates an oak floor of full of life & verve.
Our fabulous Priory Tumbled Parquet is a reinterpretation of a classic parquet wood floor to create welcoming environments where the wood finish plays the starring role. The agreeably varied tonal surface is distinguished by the graphic depth & hand-aged look which emphasises this engineered oak’s inherent characteristics. The light oak colour palette offers beautiful natural warm wood hues and is available in the versatile parquet size of 35cm x 8cm, a size that offers a modern take on the traditional small block parquet. Being engineered, installation is a breeze compared to traditional parquet and of course our Priory Tumbled Parquet can be used with the comfort of underfloor heating in modern installations.
For enhanced dynamism forget boring left to right laying, go diagonally across the room to maximise visual interest and the contrast with soft furnishings. Our gorgeous Priory Tumbled Parquet is installed in the classic herringbone pattern, a style that adds tonnes of drama and sass to even the smallest of spaces – dramatize that snug! Though it of course thrives in large open plan living areas too forming a stunning base to your scheme.
This engineered oak parquet wood flooring has individually distressed & antiqued edges and fits together via tongue & groove. More installation information can be found under the specification tab.
Design Tip: Furniture in white, natural wood, or light-coloured neutrals will maintain the airy aesthetic, while dark furniture or accents can create a sophisticated, striking contrast.

| Grade | RUSTIC GRADE: Rustic grade wood has the largest range of colour variation, sap content and allows almost a limitless size and number of knots. There will be checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used and the colour is traditionally dark, carefully selected to compliment the oak rather than to match it or ‘disappear’. Rustic grade oak produces a stunning, traditional vintage looking floor. |
| Installation Points | Engineered Parquet Oak Flooring cannot be floated over an underlay. The planks must be solidly attached to the sub-floor using an appropriate adhesive. |
| Glue-Down | We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
