Exhibiting a unique, tumbled finish, our St Johns tumbled herringbone is a gorgeous, dark oak floor. With a depth of character & interest that is hard to match, this engineered oak flooring has elegance in abundance. With a refined texture, evocative of a well-trodden, time-worn floor, this stunning herringbone oak floor can be the foundation for a truly inspired scheme.

This sumptuous large format parquet floor is wonderfully dark and beautifully rich. This classic Herringbone oak plank is hand-worked, hand-finished & tumbled allowing the natural wood grain to shine, darting evocatively through each plank, leading your eye around the exquisite twists and turns of this dark hardwax oiled finished engineered oak floor. The warm, deep tones make this an ideal flooring for cosy family areas, snugs, dining rooms and beyond. Paired with thick woollen rugs for extra comfort or faux animal hides for extra flair, this is a stylish floor equally at home in both older and more modern properties. Plank size is 60cm (L) x 10cm (W) x 2cm (D) - (600mm x 100mm x 20mm).

This engineered oak herringbone wood flooring has individually distressed & tumbled edges and fits together via tongue & groove. More installation information can be found under the specification tab.

Grade RUSTIC GRADE: Rustic grade wood has the largest range of colour variation, sap content and allows almost a limitless size and number of knots. There will be checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used and the colour is traditionally dark, carefully selected to compliment the oak rather than to match it or ‘disappear’. Rustic grade oak produces a stunning, traditional vintage looking floor.
Installation Points Engineered Herringbone Oak Flooring cannot be floated over an underlay. The planks must be solidly attached to the sub-floor using an appropriate adhesive.
Glue-Down We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply.
Blending Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.
Cleaning The Bona Premium Spray Mop for Oiled Wood Floor is the easiest and most effective way of cleaning oiled wood floors in the home. Simply spray and wipe the floor clean. It cleans and nourishes your oiled wood floor while providing extra protection.
