Barnwood Pinder is a stunning addition to our hugely popular Barnwood aged oak floor collection. This new format plank and brand-new colour enhances this range offering another extra-wide board option in a much darker shade. This 24cm wide engineered oak flooring, bursting with rich, dark, golden tobaccos tones sets a new bar for character laden, sumptuous, inky oak floors.

Our Barnwood Pinder hand-aged and hand-antiqued oak flooring is awash with style, charisma and panache. This is an elegant wooden floor, with a deep colour palette of wenge, walnut, red-brown & russet – a fabulous base for a lavish interior to be sure. Think acres of luxurious fabrics, a brigade of well-chosen antiques and walls adorned with heritage wallpaper all combining with this beautiful oak creating a space that radiates warmth, sophistication, and distinctive character. The Barnwood range is rooted in the time-worn aesthetic of old oak floors. Each board is carefully evaluated and varied artisanal techniques applied that result in a stunning antique oak floor that echoes the well-trodden hardwood floors often seen in grand houses.

Our Barnwood collection of distressed and aged oak flooring gives the gorgeous look and feel of reclaimed oak but in a stable, engineered board making it suitable for modern installations and with underfloor heating.

Barnwood Pinder oak floor is available in 1.5cm (15mm) thick engineered boards, 220cm in length & 24cm wide (2200mm x 240mm) in a robust satin hardwaxed oiled finish. Technical
Finishing Oil	Satin Hardwaxed Oiled
Grade	RUSTIC GRADE: RUSTIC GRADE: Rustic grade wood has the largest range of colour variation, sap content and allows almost a limitless size and number of knots. There will be checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used and the colour is traditionally dark, carefully selected to compliment the oak rather than to match it or ‘disappear’. Rustic grade oak produces a stunning, traditional vintage looking floor.
Glue-Down	We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply.
Floating	Glue-down method is not appropriate for sub-floors that are damp, are mixed i.e. timber subfloor combined with concrete/screed sub-floor or have specific requirements such as acoustic deadening. With sub-floors of this type the Floating installation method will likely be proposed by your installer. The boards are not fixed to the sub-floor but instead uses the weight of the floor itself to keep them in place, usually with the use of an underlay between the sub-floor and boards. The tongue & groove would normally be glued in a floating installation. NB: Beswick stone do not provide underlay, glue or any other wood installation product.
Blending	Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.
Cleaning	The Bona Premium Spray Mop for Oiled Wood Floor is the easiest and most effective way of cleaning oiled wood floors in the home. Simply spray and wipe the floor clean. It cleans and nourishes your oiled wood floor while providing extra protection.
