A trip around the castles of the Loire Valley is a beautiful, magical experience. One stone more than any other has shaped the architecture here through centuries of history. A unique sandy, fine-grained limestone, with a colour palette of white to yellowish-cream, this beautiful stone is extracted from numerous local quarries and has made a major mark on the architectural landscape of the Loire and its tributaries. A fabulous stone perfect for replication into a stain-proof, highly durable porcelain tile. This is Joneau stoneware porcelain, a stone-effect porcelain floor with a sense of magic and beauty. By producing in porcelain this Italian made tile combines performance with the unique appeal of this deeply beautiful limestone. Perfect for the busiest family homes, Joneau porcelain is available in the large flag size of 90cm x 60cm and at just 1cm thick is a breeze to install. This stone look porcelain flooring is a doodle to clean and maintain – perfect for kids, pets and accident-prone adults. Available in 2 colours, Dorato is without doubt our favourite and you must visit our showroom in Cirencester to view this fabulous porcelain floor displayed. Bianco, as it name suggests, is based on the white colour seams of the original stone. Both colours are usually available from stock. A dedicated 20mm thick external version is available to pre-order in both colours. Tile size is the same as the internal format allowing you to create that much desired indoor to outdoor flow. We operate a minimum order quantity of 26.256sqm on this pre-order external tile.

- Standard R10 10mm thick internal format: A stunning internal stoneware tile for use in both residential and commercial interiors, finished with a subtle worn aged edge. Minimum order quantity (MOQ): 5boxes (8.205sqm) – USUALLY AVAILABLE FROM STOCK.
- Dedicated R11 20mm thick external format: The dedicated 20mm external tile format in Joneau Dorato & Bianco is available in the same size as its internal counterpart. Being a dedicated outdoor tile, this can be installed onto standard patio base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. MOQ is 48boxes (26.256sqm) – PRE-ORDER PRODUCT WITH A LEAD TIME OF USUALLY 5-6 WEEKS.

PRICES ARE PER BOX EXCLUDING DELIVERY and the price per sqm is also shown allowing easy comparison. We operate a minimum order of 5 boxes (8.205sqm) on the internal format. LARGE SIZE SAMPLE INFORMATION: A single 30cm x 30cm sample is available to purchase at £5inc P&P. Please detail colour required in the 'ADD COMMENTS TO YOUR ORDER' field at check-out. This £5 will be credited against any future order of Joneau Porcelain.

| Installation Points | Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout. For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used and joints should be staggered by a maximum of 30% of the length of the tile AKA staggered brick bond. |

| External Installation Points | External formats are 20mm thick so can be installed on a standard MOT type 1 base, onto a prepared concrete/screed base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. If installing onto MOT then a wet sand & cement mortar mix must be used with the addition of SBR & SBR mixed with powdered to cement to form a bonding slurry used to prime the backs of the impervious tiles to provide a key for bonding. If installing onto concrete/screed a good quality external grade grey tile adhesive can be used. Tiles can either be grouted with a wide joint grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FL grout), or finished with a brush-in resin compound or alternative jointing method. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
