Encapsulating the physical strength and beauty of cement our Zone Grey Porcelain suits a wide range of uses and is eminently modern at the same time. Available in 2 large modern tile sizes, of which the 90cm x 90cm is certainly the most popular, this stunning pale grey coloured porcelain definitely responds to the need for a style choice that harmoniously combines with contemporary design concepts. Zone Grey emanates industrial coolness & charm, perfect for loft living or stylised agricultural conversions!

This truly modern tile is an Italian interpretation of the Bauhaus tenets of taking inspiration from a mass production material, employing individual artistic vision and combining aesthetics with everyday function to finally produce a product of exemplary quality, design and use. By taking the look of powdered cement and incorporating touches of real stone inflections, our Zone Grey stoneware porcelain wall and floor tile is a superbly modern looking tile; clean, crisp and contemporary. If you are looking for a fabulous foundation for your uber modern interior scheme, then you definitely cannot go wrong in choosing either tile size. As one would expect with contemporary look tiles Zone Grey is available in large slabs of 90cm x 90cm & 120cm x 60cm! This is monolithic tiling gone wild! With a dedicated 20mm external version available in the 90cm x 90cm slab, creating that modern flow from inside to out is simple.

Technical
Grade Internal Format Wall & Floor R10 - Residential interior walls & floors | Commercial interior walls & floors
Grade 20mm External Format Outdoor / Rectified - R11 - Residential & Commercial.
Indoor Installation Points Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FS grout). For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used and joints should be staggered by a maximum of 30% of the length of the tile AKA staggered brick bond.
External Installation Points External formats are 20mm thick so can be installed on a standard MOT type 1 base, onto a prepared concrete/screed base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. If installing onto MOT then a wet sand & cement mortar mix must be used with the addition of SBR & SBR mixed with powdered to cement to form a bonding slurry used to prime the backs of the impervious tiles to provide a key for bonding. If installing onto concrete/screed a good quality external grade grey tile adhesive can be used. Tiles can either be grouted with a wide joint grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FL grout), or finished with a brush-in resin compound or alternative jointing method.
Blending Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. A good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.
