Pragvel Tumbled Herringbone is a gorgeous wenge coloured wood floor presented in a stunning format making it eminently suitable for both large and small areas of the home. The oak is deep smoked, a process that changes the raw oak into a dark oak colour with lovely variation between each individual plank. This smoking along with artisanal hand-working and a unique tumbling technique all combine to create superb, time-worn oak floor packed with charisma & depth.
Pragvel is an engineered oak, large parquet styled flooring, whose deep, rich tones produce a fabulous floor, full of real wood characteristics including flowing wood grain & knots. This real timber floor is finished with a hardwax oil adding a gorgeous subtle sheen to this dynamic patterned oak floor. This finish creates a genuinely beautiful yet low maintenance choice for any room in the house including hard-working kitchens, cosy living areas and beyond.

Our Pragvel Tumbled engineered oak flooring is available in the stunning large sized herringbone parquet format of 600mm (L) x 100mm (W) x 20mm (D). This engineered oak herringbone wood flooring has individually distressed & tumbled edges and fits together via tongue & groove. | Grade | RUSTIC GRADE: Rustic grade wood has the largest range of colour variation, sap content and allows almost a limitless size and number of knots. There will be checks (stable splits) across & between the growth rings, all of which add to its natural charm. Filler will be used and the colour is traditionally dark, carefully selected to compliment the oak rather than to match it or ‘disappear’. Rustic grade oak produces a stunning, traditional vintage looking floor. |
| Installation Points | Engineered Herringbone Oak Flooring cannot be floated over an underlay. The planks must be solidly attached to the sub-floor using an appropriate adhesive. |
| Glue-Down | We recommend fixing engineered oak, where possible, with the Glue-down method. Using a high-quality adhesive will result in the most stable floor installation as the base of each board is bonded directly to the sub-floor. No underlay is needed and no gluing of the tongue and groove is required. We recommend Bona Quantum flexible wood flooring adhesive though many other brands are available – speak with your installer as they will likely have a tried and tested product they can supply. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our real timber engineered oak products. Each board will react differently to the finishing processes used and have unique characteristics such as knots and highlighted grain. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As always when laying real timber flooring a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
