Castile Outdoor Slim-Setts

A stunning honey coloured limestone that has been a stalwart of our stone offering for many a year due to its west country vernacular and attractive appearance. To complement our outdoor flags and cobbles, we have now added new slim-sett blocks to our Castile range expanding your options for fabulous outside spaces.

Our new slim-sett stone block is a contemporary take on the ubiquitous stone sett. This Castile version is 30cm long by 7.5cm wide meaning it can be laid in a fabulously dynamic herringbone pattern or the uber attractive mosaic block pattern – the latter being a particular favourite of ours. The Courtyard finish on this 40mm thick stone-sett produces a softly aged edge topped off with a relatively flat face (top), which is textured to form an external grip surface. Of course, you can also opt to lay this external limestone sett linearly, forming a classic brick-bond design.

Castile’s warm honey, sand & clotted cream shades are gorgeously complemented by an abundant quartz & fossil content adding further character to this stand-out stone. This mineral content, being darker than the bed-stone, elevates each block, adding a distinct personality separating it from its sister Avignon stone. Very similar in colour to Box Hill limestone, Castile is a hard, dense stone that will happily put-up with the English climate and form a long-lasting foundation whatever your landscaping demands.

PLEASE NOTE: Cut samples are not available for this product, you do have the option of purchasing a full slim-sett sample, charged at £5inc P&P.This £5 will be credited against any future order of Castile Outdoor Slim-Setts.
