Mixed Seam Stone Step

Quarries always have different ‘seams’ of stone in which the basic stone varies to a degree either chromatically, or on mineral visual content or both. There is always a transitional seam in which one seam meets the other and this is where our imaginatively named Mixed Seam limestone comes from! Appearing where our best-selling Avignon & Castile flagstones meet, Mixed Seam contains elements of both stones and other flavours not often seen in the single selections. Now we are also able to provide our popular indoor and outdoor stone steps in the fabulous Mixed Seam limestone too. Each outdoor step is 100cm (1000mm) wide, 35cm (350mm) deep & 5cm (50mm) thick. The front edge is finished with a hand-honed bullnose profile whilst the sides and rear are sawn. The indoor step is also 100cm wide but 45cm deep and is available in either 2cm, 3cm or 4cm thicknesses. Our Mixed Seam limestone is hugely popular especially in older property renovations where, quite often, different floor levels are found. These stone steps provide the perfect transitioning solution if you are using either of our Mixed Seam limestone floors in your scheme. Whilst the colour of these steps match that of the internal limestone flags the surface texture is different – being a high-grip surface one would expect on steps.

Postal samples are not available for this product due to its weight & thickness. Indoor/Outdoor Step finish is identical to the 30mm external flag option and the Indoor Step finish is identical to that of the soft tumbled flagstones both of which postal samples can be ordered for.
