Beautiful warm Elegant Travertine Cream stoneware porcelain is a refined & stylish choice for those desiring that classic travertine aesthetic without the vagaries of the original stone.
Italian Travertine is an historic stone with a history to rival that of the famous Carrara marbles. A highly sought-after premium product, this wonderful stone, full of verve & interest is limited to large slab use now with all travertine tiles coming from the quarries of Turkey rather than Italy. Though beautiful, this stone has maintenance demands that modern living just can’t cope with so our porcelain partners in Italy have created a wonderful version of classic Elegant Travertine in a stain-proof, zero maintenance porcelain tile. Available in 2 historic pale shades, these tiles are based on the classic fleuri cut – giving the tiles that famous travertine swirled beauty and movement. Available in 2 rectangular tile sizes, our Elegant Travertine Cream of course works beautifully in bathrooms but also adds light and charm to living space floors or even external spaces (special order 20mm thick external version available). Currently the outdoor 2cm format of Elegant Travertine Cream porcelain is a special-order item with a lead time of approximately 5-6 weeks* from order. We operate a minimum order quantity of 36 boxes (25.92sqm) on this pre-order outdoor tile. Price is £59sqm+VAT & delivery.

- 60cm x 30cm x 1cm Standard R10 10mm thick internal wall & floor format: Classic sized internal tile for use in both residential and commercial interiors, finished with a contemporary square edge. Minimum order quantity (MOQ): 5boxes (5.4sqm) – USUALLY AVAILABLE FROM STOCK.
- 120cm x 60cm x 1cm Standard R10 10mm thick internal wall & floor format: Our hugely popular large internal tile for use in both residential and commercial interiors, finished with a contemporary square edge. Minimum order quantity (MOQ): 5boxes (7.2sqm) – USUALLY AVAILABLE FROM STOCK.
- Dedicated R11 20mm thick external format: The dedicated 20mm external tile format in Elegant Travertine Cream is available with the same contemporary square edge as its internal counterpart in the 120cm x 60cm tile size. Being a dedicated outdoor tile, this can be installed onto standard patio base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. MOQ is 36boxes (25.92sqm) – THIS IS A PRE-ORDER ITEM.

| Installation Points | Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout. For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used and joints should be staggered by a maximum of 30% of the length of the tile AKA staggered brick bond. |

| External Installation Points | External formats are 20mm thick so can be installed on a standard MOT type 1 base, onto a prepared concrete/screed base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self levelling pedestals. If installing onto MOT then a wet sand & cement mortar mix must be used with the addition of SBR & SBR mixed with powdered to cement to form a bonding slurry used to prime the backs of the impervious tiles to provide a key for bonding. If installing onto concrete/screed a good quality external grade grey tile adhesive can be used. Tiles can either be grouted with a wide joint grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FL grout), or finished with a brush-in resin compound or alternative jointing method. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
