20mm EXTERNAL PORCELAIN: available for pre-order in Grey & Ivory colours. Tile size is 90.6cm x 60.4cm x 2.0cm with an aged edge. Lead time is approximately 5weeks from order*.
Based on the famous and architecturally imporant and heavily fossilised Jerusalem limestones, Fossil is a stunning outdoor porcelain tile. Jerusalem stone was greatly coveted for its amazing fossil details and unique colour rnage. This intrinsic beauty has been reproduced here in a 20mm thick dedicated, tough-wearing porcelain tile. Our Fossil external porcelain compliments our internal collection of Fossil porcelain, allowing you to create that highly desired transition from indoors to out. Available in Ivory & Grey, Fossil is a perfect solution for outdoor residential & commercial environements. Fossil porcelain is a refind interpretation of this historic Jerusalem limestone.

| External Installation Points | External formats are 20mm thick so can be installed on a standard MOT type 1 base, onto a prepared concrete/screed base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self levelling pedestals. If installing onto MOT then a wet sand & cement mortar mix must be used with the addition of SBR & SBR mixed with powdered to cement to form a bonding slurry used to prime the backs of the impervious tiles to provide a key for bonding. If installing onto concrete/screed a good quality external grade grey tile adhesive can be used. Tiles can either be grouted with a wide joint grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FL grout), or finished with a brush-in resin compound or alternative jointing method. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
