Maperton Beige is an absolutely beautiful stoneware porcelain tile that recreates the famous Belgian Blue stone but in a more adaptable beige colour with a slightly more modern, semi-rustic feel, while retaining all the light and elegance of the original stone.

Maperton Beige is an Italian made porcelain tile that elevates the concept of stone-look tiles to a new level, with a new take that gives limestone a less rustic, more contemporary edge. Belgian Blue stone is mainly known as a flooring & construction stone, and is characterised by a variety of blue tones, ranging from pale blue to shades of midnight blue or almost black. The extremely delicate, versatile patterns give it a particularly contemporary look. Maperton Beige, is imbued with a natural elegance, ideal for creating bright, inviting living spaces. Belgian Blue stone has a long and rich heritage as an architectural stone and floor covering. Its unique stone movement & character produces an elegant stone still very much in demand.  This Italian stoneware porcelain version is a tile that takes the concept of replicating natural material to a whole new level. Here we have a new interpretation of the original material, recreating the famous blue stone with a more modern, less rustic feel in a more versatile colour.

The revival of historic architectural stone recaptures the harmony of nature, in well-balanced environments that convey positive feelings of well-being. Simplicity, expressiveness, and an extraordinary haptic quality abound in this fabulous tile for use in the home and commercial spaces.

The Outdoor finish comes in the same 90cm x 60cm tile size, in a thickness of 20mm, to offer a non-slip surface ideal for creating a seamless continuity with indoor spaces. This dedicated external finish guarantees superb technical performance and a natural aesthetic. Currently the outdoor 2cm format of Maperton Beige porcelain is a special-order item with a lead time of approximately 5-6 weeks* from order (*pending supplier stock). We operate a minimum order quantity of 39 boxes (21.06sqm) on this pre-order outdoor tile. Price is £49sqm+VAT & delivery. To place an order for the outdoor tile please contact the showroom.

Tile formats available:

- Standard R10 10mm thick internal format: an internal tile for use in both residential and commercial interiors, finished with a subtle worn aged edge. Minimum order quantity (MOQ): 10boxes (10.8sqm) – USUALLY AVAILABLE FROM STOCK.

- Dedicated R11 20mm thick external format: The dedicated 20mm external tile format in Maperton Beige is available as a special order. Being a dedicated outdoor tile, this can be installed onto standard patio base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. MOQ is 39boxes (21.06sqm) – PRE-ORDER ITEM.

Indoor Installation Points	Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FS grout). For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used and joints should be staggered by a maximum of 30% of the length of the tile AKA staggered brick bond.
External Installation Points	External formats are 20mm thick so can be installed on a standard MOT type 1 base, onto a prepared concrete/screed base or via a dry raised/floating installation using fixed or self-levelling pedestals. If installing onto MOT then a wet sand & cement mortar mix must be used with the addition of SBR & SBR mixed with powdered to cement to form a bonding slurry used to prime the backs of the impervious tiles to provide a key for bonding. If installing onto concrete/screed a good quality external grade grey tile adhesive can be used. Tiles can either be grouted with a wide joint grout (we offer Rocatex Ultimate & Ardex FL grout), or finished with a brush-in resin compound or alternative jointing method.
Blending	Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended.
