Our Marmi Porcelain range is based on the two most desired Calacatta marbles: the eponymous Calacatta Marble itself and the rarer Calacatta Gold Marble. With a base colour of bone & ivory and striking flashes of cool blue-grey, Marmi Bianco is eminently easy to accessorize and input into your design scheme. | Mosaic | Unlike tiles Mosaics are sold per sheet. Marmi Hexagon Porcelain Mosaic is supplied on a mesh-backed sheet measuring approximately 30cm x 30cm which can be cut using a stanley knife. Each sheet is made up of 30number individual hexagons, 6rows high by 5rows wide. This is rectified porcelain suitable for use on walls and floors. Due to mosaic production methods, slight shade and dimensional variation is to be expected within the mosaic sheet. |

| Installation Points | Large format porcelain tiles should be installed with a good quality S1 grade flexible adhesive and a fine grain grout. For large tiles it is strongly recommended that levelling clips are used and joints should be staggered by a maximum of 30% of the length of the tile AKA staggered brick bond. |
| Mosaic Installation | Mosaics can be a challenge to install. The mesh backing makes it hard to get even pressure when pressing into adhesive so you end up with an uneven surface and, when used against normal tiles, lipping can occur for this reason too. We recommend the use of Mosaic Mesh Tile Backer Sheets which makes mosaic installation MUCH easier. These are available from most DIY sheds. |
| Blending | Shade and colour variation should be expected in our ‘natural’ look porcelain products, no different to what you would see in real stone or timber. Stronger tone & colour variation can occur between batches, so it is recommended you ensure you order enough for your project in one batch. As per laying real stone/timber a good number of packs should be opened at a time and blended. |
