Old Heritage is an indoor or outdoor limestone available in large 60cm wide flags. These super durable limestone tiles are mostly mid to dark grey in tone with a very attractive textured finish remiscent of hand cut slate. In our Old Heritage flagstone flooring you will find minimally aged edges, as well as interesting surface distinctions enhanced by the varied textures found in this great limestone floor. This means these large flagstones suit modern and classic interiors alike. The wonderful colour palette in Old Heritage ranges from pale grey, through mid blue grey to slightly darker flags. Be thoughtful when laying and blend the different tones to create a harmonious and beautiful floor.

NB: This is hand-cut limestone – it is not machine cut nor machine calibrated across the width and thickness of the flags. Grout joints will not be consistent, you cannot use tile spacers, joint width will be fluid resulting in narrower joints, medium joints and wider joints. Due to the hand-cut & hand-tumbled edges, the 60cm width calibration can vary over the length of the tile and between tiles. I.e. one side of the tile could be 60cm wide and the other side 59cm wide etc. – just like the old days. In addition, the thickness of the tile can vary by 8-10mm therefore your installer will need to build up thinner tiles with more adhesive and assess thicker tiles for use under cabinets or in inconspicuous areas. Due to the above we absolutely recommend you employ an artisan tiler – an installer whose main work is installing natural stone flagstones, not a ceramic or porcelain biased tiler. This is not a DIY installation job either, contract a professional flagstone floor installer to get the job done right.
